Cobra Kai Fan Event Turns Awkward as Kove Bites Co-Star
Martin Kove bites Alicia at Summer Con 2025, sparking backlash after alleged incident with co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim.
According to police, the 78-year-old actor bit Hannah-Kim hard enough to leave a visible mark and bruising.
From Friendly Tap to Painful Encounter
Hannah-Kim, 42, told authorities that she tapped Kove on the shoulder to say hello. In response, he grabbed her arm and bit it hard enough to make her yelp in pain.
“He grabbed my arm and bit down hard almost drawing blood… then tried to kiss it,” she said in a police statement.
Police Confirm Bite Mark and Bruising
A nearby police officer confirmed seeing a “very easy to see bite mark” turning blue and starting to bruise on Hannah-Kim’s arm.
She reportedly informed her husband, and they both confronted Kove, who then “exploded” and claimed he did nothing wrong.
Kove: “I Thought It Was Funny”
Kove admitted to the bite, telling police he believed it was a joke and referenced their on-screen “play fighting” as context.
The actor later apologized but was removed from the event by organizers.
No Charges Filed, But Incident Logged
Though Hannah-Kim declined to press charges, she requested the incident be formally recorded “in case this continues.”
Representatives for both actors and Netflix have not issued public statements.
Cobra Kai Wraps After Six Seasons
“Cobra Kai” recently concluded its sixth and final season on Netflix. Kove’s John Kreese and Hannah-Kim’s Kim Da-Eun were pivotal characters in the series’ escalating martial arts drama.
