Lowe’s Easter Sunday store closures

Lowe’s Closes Stores on Easter Sunday for Employee Family Time.

Lowe’s has announced it will close all 1,751 U.S. stores for 24 hours on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. The move aligns with similar decisions by major retailers including Target, Costco, Sam’s Club, and Best Buy, who will also remain closed on the holiday.

In a statement, Marvin Ellison, CEO and Chairman of Lowe’s, said the decision was made to recognize and thank employees for their dedication.

“We are pleased to provide a well-deserved day off so they can spend Easter with their loved ones,” Ellison said.

The closure impacts stores nationwide, with the largest number located in Texas (144) and Florida (132).
