Alex Cooper sexual harassment claims target college coach

Alex Cooper Breaks Silence in Hulu’s Call Her Alex

Alex Cooper sexual harassment allegations emerge in Hulu’s Call Her Alex, accusing her college soccer coach of misconduct.

The two-part documentary, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 8, 2025, and debuts on Hulu on June 10, details Cooper’s rise to fame and an alleged pattern of misconduct by Boston University’s former women’s soccer coach, Nancy Feldman.

A Disturbing Chapter at Boston University

Cooper played for Boston University’s women’s soccer team between 2013 and 2015. In the docuseries, she claims her coach:

  • Made inappropriate comments about her legs and body
  • Invasively asked about her sex life
  • Put a hand on her thigh during one encounter
  • Attempted isolation, allegedly always wanting to be alone with her

She said she felt deeply uncomfortable and feared losing her full-tuition scholarship if she didn’t comply.

“I was in a situation with someone in a position of power who abused their power,” Cooper says.

Family Took Action, BU Allegedly Refused to Investigate

Cooper’s mother reportedly kept detailed notes of her daughter’s experiences, which she submitted to Boston University. The family also consulted a lawyer who warned that litigation could take years.

Despite her discomfort, Cooper wanted to play her senior year but refused to play under Feldman. She claims BU offered to maintain her scholarship but declined to:

  • Fire Feldman
  • Investigate the allegations
  • Offer a formal process to address her complaints

“Within five minutes, they had entirely dismissed everything I had been through,” Cooper said.

 Trauma, Healing, and Reflection

Now 30, Cooper said revisiting BU’s campus during filming stirred old emotions:

“I wasn’t the ‘Call Her Daddy’ girl. I was just another woman who experienced harassment… and it took away the thing I loved the most.”

She described connecting with former teammates who shared similar feelings. In one reunion, Cooper and a teammate began crying without words, emphasizing the emotional weight of the past.

Cooper’s Ascent to Power

Cooper has created a media empire in spite of her trauma:

  • One of the most streamed podcasts on Spotify is Call Her Daddy.
  • She co-founded the Unwell Network with Matt Kaplan, her current spouse.
  • introduced a new line of beverages.

Her admirers, who lovingly refer to her as the “Daddy Gang,” turn to her for guidance on modern femininity, relationships, and mental health.
